Major Focus Issues

May 05, 2009 09:06AM
My daughter Abigail is 8 and in the second grade. We are having some major focus issues in class and I am getting very worried. She loses papers, can't follow instructions, and has trouble working on her own. When it is time to do work on her own at her desk or during the computer classes, she tends to "daydream". I do not want to even entertain the idea of medication and we have had her allergies checked out. I really like Brain Gym and have heard about it from other mothers but am wondering how to do the exercises myself with her. Do I need to find somebody that teaches it? And of the twenty-some exercises, are there ones that my child might respond more to than others? If so, is there somebody that can meet with my child to assess her situation? I would appreciate any information you can give me. Maybe there is a book that I can get the exercises from?
THanks,
