Dear Joanna,
Most of the studies we know about are abstracted in the "Brain Gym Studies Packet". Several more recent studies are mentioned at the bottom of the "Research FAQ". These are available through the "Brain Gym Studies" link in the pull down list under "Learn More" in the blue bar at the tops of the pages on the www.braingym.org website. Any of the research mentioned in the "Brain Gym Studies Packet" or the "Research FAQ" that appeared in articles in the Brain Gym(R) Journal between 2000 and 2007 would be available through the "Archives" link also in the pull down list under "Learn More" in the blue bar at the tops of the pages on the www.braingym.org website.
G. Khalsa and Josie Sift's research is citable in college papers because they were published in a peer-review journal. Jan Irving’s research is citable because it was for her doctoral dissertation.
If you are going to get one book I suggest you get a copy of Carla Hannaford’s “Smart Moves, Why Learning Is Not All In Your Head”. It will give you some of the physiological theory as to why Brain Gym® activities might help with some references and describe a few of the very basic exercises. In the U.S it can be borrowed through local libraries. I do not know if it is available through libraries in the Philippines. You may be able to obtain a copy from your local intructor. I have pasted the listings for instructors in the Philippines below. I would suggest you contact them to find out what might be available in your area.
