What is the effect of Alphabet 8s for keyboarding versus writing by hand in terms of making it easier to get thoughts down--or for that matter in terms of keyboarding facility? I've experimented myself and don't see much difference but I'm a very fast typist and rarely have trouble getting thoughts down. Alphabet 8s always helps my handwriting but then I rarely ever write anything by hand--except in BG classes where we're doing Alpha 8s!

Students often ask me about Alphabet 8s for keyboarding. I always say "try it and see what happens." But would be nice to know the experience of others.
